Independence Day...July 4th, 2008

Thursday, July 3, 2008

Tomorrow is July 4th, 2008...."Independence Day" here in the United States. It is a day of celebration...of picnics, parades & fireworks!..... It should also be a day to remember how truly lucky we are to live in this country!....We live in the United States where we are "FREE". Free to live the lives we want, free to say what we feel & free to worship who & where we choose. We also need to be reminded that "freedom" does not come cheap. It is fought hard for...it is valiantly won for all of us, day by day, by a small few.....the men & women of the U.S. Military! So tomorrow, when you are relaxing & enjoying the day with your family, take a moment to remember that there are soldiers out there fighting to give you this day. A day they are not spending with their family, a day they are not watching fireworks with their children,.... but a day when instead, they are fighting for your "freedom"....so you CAN be home enjoying "Independence day" with those you love.......Have a lovely "Independence Day" &...be sure to "remember"......Heidi xo.

Note: A special "thank you" to Kari & Kijsa for encouraging us all to post about "flags" & "freedom"!!!.....And treat yourself!...visit their beautiful blog! They are always posting the most wonderful ideas!

Heidi, I am SO SORRY for your grandson! What a way our boys will have to spend the rest of the summer! Bless their little hearts! Won't be a lot of water activities for the two! I feel like I "know" Andrew from your's and your daughter's blog, so I really feel so badly for the little guy! He just looks so precious in all the photos! I feel for your family too! I now know just how taxing it can be on the whole family, when your little one is hurt, and being carted around to hospitals and doctors! I hope he fairs well and heals quickly! I'll keep him in my prayers! David has another appointment Monday, and will probably get a more permanent cast then!

I hope you have a good 4th, in spite of everything! And you can leave a "novel" anytime on my comments! I look forward to hearing from you!
