"Window Boxes of PINK"....for PINK SATURDAY

Friday, August 8, 2008

The symmetry of these "puffs of pink" takes my breath away!.....

In this last month of true "summer", I thought I would like to pay tribute to the quiet beauty of "window boxes". I guess I should rephrase that....the "quiet beauty of window boxes overflowing with "pink blossoms". Window boxes are actually such a simple, "old-fashioned" idea,...yet when done properly, result in a breathtaking "cascade of beauty"! These, that I am posting today, are some examples of just such an extraordinary beauty. I hope you enjoy these lovely photographs, & in turn enjoy your "PINK SATURDAY". Thank you Beverly @"How Sweet The Sound" for continuing this beautiful journey for us all....... Elegant & tasteful,......& "pink"......
WOW!....."pink" in it's most brilliant form!
Sweetly "pink" & oh-so-"feminine".........

Note: I invite all you ladies of Beverly's "PINK SATURDAY" posts, to join me for my
"Very Vintage Halloween Swap"!...And feel free to take the button on the right side of my blog & use it on your own! Please spread the word! I am anticipating a "wickedly good time" for all!.........Heidi xo

Great window boxes, I particularly love that last one. And the windows aren't too shabby either.

Happy Pink Saturday, Heidi. I like for you to have comments when you get up, too.

I adore window boxes, and these are exquisite. Window boxes filled with pink blooms are hard to beat.

OH MY! The architectural elements of those gorgeous buildings has me pining for a trip to Paris where window boxes are always filled with fresh flowers. Gorgeous photos...loved them!

Hi Heidi,
The pictures of the pink hanging baskets are beautiful, but I think it's the gorgeous architecture that makes the pink "sing." I just want to sit here on my couch and absorb all the details.
Have a winderful Pink Saturday.

Your pictures are stunning. I would love window boxes at my house but it seems it would be a long time waiting. Several years ago my dear husband bought one for me for mother's day. He was going to put it on the shed. Here it is several years later and I'm still waiting. Oh, just imagine the lovely pink flowers I could have in that window box!

Happy Pink Saturday!

take care,
Dawn

Hi, Heidi! I love your pink explosion of window boxes! Fabulous! To answer your great comment of yesterday, no, I am not from Scotland, but I am an avid genealogist and have traced several of my family names to Scotland and Ireland.
Lindsay, Blair, Higgins, which are the closest to my generation. I have been active in our scottish society ehre in my hometown, and am actively planning a lengthy sojourn theree as soon as my husband ever retires! I am completely immersed in all things scottish at this time in my life. My music, my reading, my dreaming, my planning. I just really enjoy everything about it. I really should seek a vocation in promoting it I am so consumed with it all! HAHa! Praying you ahve a lovely weekend! Blessings! Carolyn

Hey Heidi! I just love the window boxes you shared for pink Saturday's! They remind me of a vacation we once took to New Orleans. There are such beautiful window boxes hanging from wrought iron trellis' there in the French Quarters. Thanks for sharing! Have a great week!

Your living room looks great. Love your window in that room, I think you were right to stick with white. Makes your browns look so warm.
