"PINK DOORS"...... for "PINK SATURDAY"

Saturday, July 12, 2008

It is after 1:00am,.... we just returned home from the "baby shower" I spoke of in my last post. I think it is safe to say, that the party was a huge success!...As promised I will write about it all next week!....& hopefully some of the photos turned out!...Anyway, I am off to bed...but tomorrow ( actually it is already tomorrow!) is "Pink Saturday" & there is no way I am not having my "pink" post ready. As many of you know, Beverly from "How Sweet The Sound" thought up the wonderful idea of posting & writing about things that are "pink" every Saturday! It seems to be growing every week, and is something we all are getting so much enjoyment from!...Anyway, since it is so late & I am so very tired, I am going to be "short & sweet" about my "pink" contribution this week.......I am posting photos of the prettiest "pink doors"!!! I have never thought about painting any of my doors "pink", but after seeing all of these...who knows??....perhaps a "pink door" is in my future!!!.....Hope you like them too!....I will see & visit you all in the morning!......"Nighty-night" all.......
Pink door #1......so lovely & such detail!
Pink Door #2..... The contrast of "shocking pink" against the black & white is so striking!.......
Pink Door #3..... So charming.......
Pink Door #4....."cracked & peeling"...but so lovely none the less!

Happy Pink Saturday. I thought I could choose a favorite, but I can't. I love them all.

I'm glad the shower was a huge success. I knew it would be.

I remember Beverly's pink door. Her home was a lovely soft grey. The doors are all a lovely shade of pink. Very original post. Love it.

YAYA! For pink doors! They fair put me in a fantastic state of being! Couldnt you just transcend the confines of gravity and float into a fairy realm just imagining life with a pink door. I'm wondering who lives behind such luscious portals!!

Oh I so love the pink doors you found! Fabulous. have a wonderful Saturday, I hope you get to sleep in...

Oh, Heidi. Jeanne must have been drinking pink Cosmopolitans the last time she was here because I've never had a pink door.

Actually, Jeanne and I are on the phone as I type. She confessed that she said I had a pink door. We are laughing so hard that we are about to pee our pants. The only problem for me is that I don't have any pants on because I haven't gotten dressed yet. I'm too busy being pink.

And, to really prove that we are certifiably wacko, Jeanne was teasing me because I posted I like her two little bunnies - when they are really two little birdies. She read it to me from her screen, and while she was reading I logged in to her TypePad account and changed it to say birdies. I told her she made a mistake, that it said birdies. Of course, I had to get her to refresh her screen in order for her to see the change. But, I couldn't fool that Jeanne. She is a wise chick. And, she is too wise to my tricks.

We're over here in North Carolina for your entertainment. Not all people in North Carolina are nuts. Just those that moved here from Florida - like me and Jeanne.

Wonderful pink doors, Heidi! That hot pink door against the black and white is especially striking and exciting...but I love them all! I would like pink door...not sure hubby would go along with that one though. He puts up with a lot of my whims, but even a pink door might be too much--LOL! So glad the shower was a treat...look forward to details. Have a good rest and great weekend! ((HUGS))

Who would have thought pink doors would be so beautiful! You are right, the poor door against the white and black house is stunning!

I'm glad the party was a success yesterday.

Happy Pink Saturday!

Take care,
Dawn

The pink doors are so charming! Love them. There is a pink door in our neighborhood and whenever I drive by the house I always think that some very creative person must live there!

I love the pink door #1! We will be painting our porch green, I think that shade of pink for my front door would be absolutely divine! I just wonder if I can talk hubby into it, that's a good possibility. I will begin to work on him right away! Thank you for sharing these lovely photos!

I love taking photos of doors and windows. Pink is a lovely color for a door, and somewhat unusual, I think! ::Jill

Heidi,

I have never thought of a PINK door, but I love it in all of your photos!

Maybe if I ever get my "Little Pink Cottage" I have been dreaming about, I think I will paint the door PINK!

Thanks for the suggestion!
