Sarah Palin Hits A Grand Slam!.......

Wednesday, September 3, 2008

Tonight, I have one thing to say..."John McCain, you definitely picked the right person!!!!".....And in response to Gov. Sarah Palin's incredible speech,.... my dear friend Susie C. said it best,...."I enjoyed a great night, watching & cheering the Republican Nat. Convention……everyone was great…..Romney, Hucklebee, & Giuliani….but our favorite and highlight of the night was watching Sarah Palin hit a Grand Slam!! What a wonderful night to be an American…..and even more wonderful to be an American wife & mother!!!" .......I couldn't agree more!....

And she's cute! I know it doesn't matter, but I love it that she is.

I loved it, too. But I have to say her youngest daughter stole my heart last night! What a cutee!

I agree with you. My favorite thing I've read about her though is that she sold the private jet when she became governor that the last governor of Alaska had! Now that's trimming a budget and tightening the old belt!

Heidi,

I love Sarah too. Did you see her youngest daughter wet her fingers with her tongue and then slick down her baby brother's hair. All good mommy's do that and she had to have learned that from hers. Along with her ability to really capture the audience, that was my favorite part.

Women can have it all!

I couldn't agree more!
My husband worked in Alaska and would read about her all the time in the newspapers. She really made a huge difference up there and she will be a wonderful Vice President!

Okay, I would be a hypocrit if I didn't say what I think here. Once you hit your fifth decade, you kind of stop being wishy-washy about your beliefs. But I sure hate to see women being so gung-ho about another woman who wants to teach creationism in our schools. (Why do you think there is a separation of church and state?)And a woman who believes that you shouldn't get an abortion even if you were raped. You women may be younger, but what the hell do you think we older women fought for if not the right for you to make choices about your own bodies?

Hey Heidi Ann; I just love your craft / sewing room. I would love to have your glass front cabinets.
I am going to look for something like that for my room some time next year. Oh by the way I did not get and email of who I am matched up with for the Halloween Swap. I also love the tags I received Holly did a wonderful job on them. Just love them. I will have to stop by and thank her.

I love Sarah Palin, also. I believe Mc Cain knew what he was doing and it was a smart move. The pair make a great team!

Sarah Palin is incredible. I would have voted McCain to vote AGAINST the "other candidate", but am thrilled that McC made such an outstanding choice. The ability to appoint the right person to help you is important.

And I don't like her just because she's a woman. I like her sense of family values, the fact that she's not part of the "Old Boys' Club in Washington", and that she does what she feels is right, regardless of what is popular.

Heidi, I believe John McCain made a wise choice in his running mate. I am a registered Republican, and I did plan on voting the Republican ticket - but I was not overly excited. I think I would probably be considered a liberal Republican.

I think John McCain is a good man, but I truthfully think he is too old to be elected to a first term. I was not familiar with Sarah Palin at all, but she does seems to have spunk. My husband believes she just might be our first female president - not Hilary.

Stephanie Suzanne Designs September 6, 2008 at 2:53 PM

I agree that she may be our first female president one day. Any woman that hunts has good instincts :o) And what a great personality she has, a wonderful family (just like everyone elses that has it's ups and downs, right??) I really think she is the perfect injection of energy for McCain. We shall see, won't we?! Anyhow, it was most encouraging and brought a spark of real genuine energy to the race. Looks and brains are a great combination!!

I've hit my 5th decade too and I think Sarah Palin is terrific.

She's the kind of woman I want young girls to look up to, not a Hillary Clinton or a Nancy Pelosi.
