"BLOOMIN' TUESDAY".....

Tuesday, June 17, 2008

Welcome to "Bloomin Tuesday".....a lovely idea, thought up & put together by Jean, at "Ms Green Thumb". For my "blooms" I thought I would post photos of one of my all-time favorite flower, "hydrangeas"....or more specifically "BLUE" hydrangeas. There is something about this flower that has always called to me. The "mophead variety" is the subhect of my adoration!......."big, beautiful, blue blooms".....Just magnificant!
Note: Many of you will recognize this photo. I found it on-line & had it posted as my opening photo for a few weeks this last Spring! I will absolutely NEVER tire of enjoying it....& believe me...I am trying my best to replicate it in my own yard!

Who made the rule that bouquets had to be small & tasteful?..... Wouldn't these hydrangeas make breathetaking bouquets for bridesmaids at a wedding! ...and the bride could carry white!....Now that's my kind of bouquet!...

An "Angel",..... being encircled in a "Heaven of Hydrangeas".......

A greenhouse filled with nothing but "blue"!.............Thank you again to Jean, for such a lovely way to spend our Tuesday, .......Off to check out all the "blooms"!......Your friend, Heidi

I've never seen hydrangea growing in a garden here. We don't have the right climate or soil. I have seen on trips and in flower arrangements and they are beautiful!

Hi Heidi
I love the photos of the hydrangeas. I just picked a big bunch of them this morning and put them in vases in the kitchen and living room. They are such a spectacular boom. Hope you are enjoying your day.
Hugs, Rhondi

I'm so glad you found me! I love all your hydrangea pictures (There are no rules for BT, as long as you post flowers). I never realized there are so many types of hydrangea and now I'm trying to figure out where to put some.Looking forward to seeing more of your favorite blooms! Jean

I love hydrangeas - we have 2 very small "endless summer" hydrangea in our backyard. They look amazing lining the walk way entrance to such a pretty house.

What a wonderful picture!! I know you said they aren't yours but you are trying to replicate them. Good for you! I have some very small hydrangeas that are coming along that were separated from a large bush at my mom's house. Hopefully, one day they will look like the ones you posted! Thank you for visiting my blog!
