Rhondi's "Front Porch Party"

Wednesday, June 4, 2008

Happy Thursday Friends! ( & Happy Birthday, Rhondi!).....It is June 5th....& a day we have all been looking forward to...Rhondi's "Front Porch Party"!! What is it about a "front porch" that just has a way of enchanting us all?....Maybe it's the way a front porch "welcomes" all who walk by,.... maybe it's the "relaxing calm" we feel as we allow ourselves to sit.... or could it be the realization, that by sharing a front porch for a moment, a " mere aquaintance can soon become a dear friend". I am sharing some of my favorite "front porches" with you my friends.... enjoy!

A little cottage front porch!!!....so inviting!............

A big grey house with an amazing "front porch"!....I love the color combination!....

So comfortable, so inviting!.......

What a "classic"!!!.....

I agree that front porches add enchantment to a home. I really miss porches now living in Holland. I am thinking I could settle right into that grey house with no problems. :) It is such a 'welcome and come right in' to see a pretty front porch. Does the house you live in now have a front porch?

Hugs ~

Thanks for sharing some of your favorite front porches. They are truly lovely.

And, I did think a front porch is a welcoming sign of hospitality.

Thanks for sharing these lovely homes with porches. Having a porch to pause on before entering just seems to make a home so welcoming.

Enjoy the day and remember my porch is awaiting visitors - come early before it hits close to 100 degrees this afternoon - too hot for me!!

Hi Heidi!
Its me...colleen! I found Holly last night on facebook and then Mals and somehow with a few clicks...ended up here at your blog! Isn't it a fun way to stay connected? I just started one as well. You can see it at

http://flaniganpartyof5.blogspot.com/

I hope life is going well for you. The girls are so beautiful and little andrew is adorable! It just doesn't seem that long ago that I was holding little Mal as a baby and playing dolls with Holly!
take care! c

Such pretty pictures! I especially like the picture of the porch with the white furniture and the ceiling fan. That rocking chair is exactly like the one I want to get for my porch or deck!
